Listen here to this week’s edition of The Blues Come Calling:

Well, a big welcome to this edition of The Blues Come Calling and if you like the blues, then there’s plenty here to keep you very happy, with some vintage ‘finds’ and some excellent new releases from Gary Hoey, Guy Verlinde, Sari Schorr and David Vest. So, there’s been some fine listening here and some great stuff for our playlist, kicking off with Netherlands band, The Marble Tones and ‘Enough of That Stuff’ . We followed up with Lazy Lester and something that popped up on a recent rummage . . . ‘Alligator Shuffle’ and you don’t know how tempting it was to follow that with John Mayall’s ‘Crocodile Walk’. . . but we didn’t . . .Sari Schorr - A Force Of Nature

One of the joys of this week was seeing the release of the new album by Gary Hoey ‘Dust & Bones’. When we were looking for something hot to play out with this week, we were spoilt for choice because the album’s jammed with good stuff, including a most excellent track which is his tribute to one of Gary’s great influences, Johnny Winter, . . . ‘Steamroller’

So until the same time same place next week when The Blues Come Calling again . . remember . . . have fun!
