Listen here to this week’s episode of The Blues Come Calling:

Well, there’s no shortage of great blues around at the moment, with plenty of new albums getting released and more on the way. So, we arrived with so much music, we knew it couldn’t possibly all fit into this edition of The Blues Come Calling.

As if to prove it, we kicked off with Boston based guitarist and singer Lois Greco, with ‘Let Me Love You’ . . . . a track from her current album and we’re waiting on her new album, ’Earthly Pleasures Heavenly Blues. Then we followed up with the first of our new releases . . . Detroit’s Thornetta Davis with a preview of her new album, ‘Honest Woman’, Bonnie Raitt with ‘Gypsy In Me’ from her forthcoming ‘Dig In Deep’ album, then more new stuff from Adam Franklin, JW Jones, Rev Ferriday, The Wentus Blues Band and R.B. Stone.

We dipped back to the 20s for some scratchy blues from Oscar ‘Buddy’ Woods and this week’s Pinetop’s Pick celebrated that classic Fleetwood Mac line up and guests on ‘Blues Jam in Chicago’.

We had plenty more in the pending tray, but, sadly, we came to the end of this edition of The Blues Come Calling before we could fit them all in. So, we saved them for next week and started heading for home, but not before we tidied up the records and CDs, put the smiling picture of the station boss back on the wall and waved everyone a cheery farewell . . . at least until next week. Because we hope you’ll be back again then, same time same place when once again The Blues Come Calling. Until then . . . have fun!
