Cruising with The Commissioner - poster #2

Listen here to this week’s show:

.
Well, November has arrived and the dark chill evenings are well established now, but this year there seems to have been far fewer fireworks around in the run up to bonfire night. Now, that may be a good thing, especially for the good folks in the emergency services, but somehow it doesn’t seem quite ‘real’. But, from out of the crisp night air around the Grand Duchy there comes a familiar sound, then with lights blazing and radio blasting, out of the misty gloom comes the trusty Cruise Mobile with all the friendly faces on board and with a seat saved especially for you, just so we can all go Cruising with The Commissioner. We kicked off on our musical adventure with The Googie Rene Combo and ‘Break It Up’ . . . And then With a passing acknowledgement to the time of the season, we joined Colin James on his ‘Rocket To The Moon’

This week our girls and guitars feature focused on singer and guitarist Lisa Mills. She’s a Mississippi native who resides in Mobile, Alabama and has soaked up Southern musical influences of The Gulf Coast. She cut her first album in 2010 called, ‘Tempered in Fire’, which got well received and we featured a track of her 2014 album ‘I’m Changing’ called ‘Better Than This’.

Our time for rocking out was almost up, so we turned the Cruise Mobile for home and looked out for those familiar faces and places along the way. To get us there in the cool night air, we cruised along with Ray Collins’ Hot Club and their appropriately titled ‘Get a move on’ . . . . which we did!
