Listen here to this week’s show:

.
Well, it’s been a good week here and I hope yours has been nothing less. Plenty of gigs an events to lift the spirit and a stack of great tracks to fill (to over-flowing) our whole hour of The Blues Come Calling. We kicked off with Storm Warning, who were on our giglist this week and giving us ‘The Blues Are Back’ and plenty more, along with the very welcome return of The Nimmo Brothers.  The only problem with this week’s playlist was what to leave out, but it just meant more gems for next week and, hopefully, a similar excess of delights. A big thanks to our Arfa Pinetop for another Pinetop’s Pick and great respects to our good pal Neil Nixon, who pointed us to the excellent new album by Sonny Landreth. Check it out . . .

Long Way From Home – The Vaughan Brothers (Family Style – 1990)

We found ourselves a Long Way From Home with The Vaughan Brothers when time ran out this week’s show. So, as we tidied up the records and CDs, put the smiling picture of the station boss back on the wall and headed for the door, but not without a big thanks to you for your good company this week and the hope that you might be enticed back, same time same place next week . . . . when The Blues Come Calling again. Until then . . . have fun!
