Listen here to this week’s show:

Well, here we are, Down at Kokomo’s . . . and whether to arrived here by accident or design, be assured you’re in very good company . . . . and I should know because I’m The Commissioner, and I’ve got some great sounds to take us through to the midnight hour . . . .

This week our playlist included 60s UK club favourite Zoot Money, Titus Turner with a song he wrote with Ray Charles back in ‘56, a little Mod magic from Frank Butler and some club soul classics from Billy Prophet and Pat Lewis. There was some smooth, sultry soul from Brenda Russell and Sergio Mendes with an idea what to do after midnight. But, we opened up with Rhoda Scott and her swinging Hammond take on Hit The Road Jack . . . . take a listen . . . .

When we saw Miss Rosie starting to clear the bar . . . it was a sure signal that we were running out of time. So, we headed for the midnight hour with some excellent Hammond sounds from Pierre Sward & The Hammond Jazz & Soul Group with ‘Griff’s Groove’. Then it was time to say thanks to everyone for their good company, with the hope that we’ll see them all again soon Down At Kokomo’s. But until then, remember . . . . have fun!
