We closed the show with the wonderful Moreland & Arbuckle, who are currently on a UK tour and appearing in the Miskin Radio area next week. . . . so, I might see you there. But, whatever happens, we’re hoping that this week’s playlist will encourage you to join us next week, when once again ‘The Blues Come Calling’. Until then . . . have fun!

Really enjoying these Blues Come Calling, Comish. Lovely little pick from Mr P this week, and great to hear the John Renbourn rendition of Candy Man. Took me back more years that I care to remember.

    • The Commissioner says:

Well, so glad you’re enjoying these Spinmeister and always pleased to know your particular pleasures (in the blues). Thanks for the kind comments

  2. Arfa Pinetop says:

Superb Emp loved that ” harp ” version of “Hit the road Jack ” and Marcia Ball great stuff more please! Fatty Arbuckle and co a great track.

Now a request Mike Ravens theme song was it “Soul Serenade”?

    Cheers

P.S. Off to the Yorkshire delta the weekend, so a possibility of some “Down t’pit blues”

    • The Commissioner says:

      Glad it went down well.

Yes, ‘Soul Serenade’ by Beau Dollar & The Coins alias Lonnie Mack & his band. I’ll go looking for it in the Cruising Library.

Enjoy the pits. . . . but maybe you think you’ve been there already!
