Listen to this week’s show here:

Well, it was good to see so many friendly faces Down at Kokomo’s this week and regulars here know there’s always plenty of good company and fine sounds to take us through to the midnight hour. Your truly, The Commissioner, was on hand to bring a soulful soundtrack as we headed for tomorrow . . . .

We’ve enjoyed a few warm evenings lately and it put us in the mood for the odd sultry serenade, which is just what was delivered by Frankie Valli, who was in town this week, but it all kicked off with Wynder K Frogg (otherwise known as famed UK organist, Mick Weaver) and an invitation to see what’s behind the Green Door . . . . and you don’t get behind the door at Kokomo’s without meeting the genial Antoine and once inside you’re bound to meet Miss Rosie because she’s in charge behind the bar. So, once inside you can settle in and enjoy the sounds . . . .

Green Door – Wynder K Frogg
Abracadabra – Robin McKelle
You’ll Lose A Good Thing – Betty Everett
Never Make Your Move Too Soon – Ernestine Anderson
Sunny – Frankie Valli
You’ll Lose A Good Thing – Betty Everett
Just For You – Jerry Butler
Ain’t Giving Up Nothing – Al King
Here I Come Again – Mighty Sam McClain

The midnight crept up on us and, all too soon, it was time to wind things up Down at Kokomo’s . . . . Miss Rosie was busy clearing the bar and tables and Jazzy G was reaching for his coat and Antoine was at the door seeing everyone out. So, thanks for your good company and we hope that we’ll see you again soon Down At Kokomo’s . . . . but until then, remember . . . . have fun!

Great show, really enjoyed it. Interpretation of Green Door, better than Shaky’s. 😝
    Well done.x

Kind words, much appreciated here, although fundamentalists in Shaky’s fan club may be in contact soon!!!
